Kali Aloisi, Economic Outreach Associate, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia
Kali Aloisi is an economic outreach associate. In her role, Kali contributes to research done at the Bank. She also shares the results of the Bank’s economic research with businesses, financial institutions, and community stakeholders in the Third District. Kali aims to provide tangible insights on the economy that people can use in their own communities. Kali and her team also create open dialogues with the people of the District that contribute to the Bank’s understanding of economic conditions on the ground.

Kali is invested in doing work that promotes the improvement of people’s social and economic conditions. She began her career in social policy research, where she applied research principles and economic ideas to issues related to economic mobility, housing, and health.
Through that work, she garnered a personal interest in data and statistical analysis and enjoys applying those concepts to understanding real world problems.

Kali has a master’s degree in applied statistics and a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in community action and social change from the University of Michigan.

Marcie Bomberg-Montoya, Principal, Wipfli LLP
Marcie Bomberg-Montoya. Wipfli LLP Principal is a leader in the Business Solutions/Organizational Performance practice across all industries Wipfli serves. She specializes in solving complex problems to empower leaders and organizations to reach their highest potential. Prior to joining Wipfli Marcie held leadership roles in financial services and technology industries for 25 years. She is a faculty member at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin Madison teaching innovation and strategy courses. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Marquette University’s Commercial Banking Program. She sits on innovation committees of the Community Bankers of Georgia, and Community Bankers of Illinois. She is co-authoring and delivering the ICBA’s Digital Transformation educational series. Marcie is a sought-after consultant, speaker, author, and educator on topics such as innovation culture, future planning, FinTech, Digital Assets, emerging technologies, the intersection of talent and tech, and leadership.

Chad Burden, VP of Sustainability Services, THG Energy Solutions
Chad Burden joined THG’s management team in 2013. As VP of Sustainability Services at THG, Mr. Burden maintains close relationships with THG’s network of channel partners, supporting end users with utility data management and carbon accounting solutions.
 
Mr. Burden earned his Master of Science in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University and his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Baylor.

He is a Navy veteran, having served aboard a nuclear-powered submarine. Burden is also Master Recycler and holds a Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Level 1 credential from SASB. Mr. Burden lives in Tulsa with his family and labradoodle, Walter White.

Alex Campbell, Manager/Advisory Services, Crowe LLP
Alex is a Manager in Crowe’s Valuation Services group that focuses on the valuation of the assets, liabilities and intangibles acquired through financial services business combinations. Alex also works with Crowe’s Credit360 for CECL platform, which is a module of the Crowe Credit360 Suite. The Credit360 Suite is a powerful tool designed for unrivaled portfolio analytics, business intelligence, CECL segmentation/model validation, and loan valuation.

Prior to joining Crowe, Alex studied Applied Economics, with a concentration in Finance and Mathematics. Alex is primarily responsible for M&A and valuation services such as core deposit intangible valuations, valuation of various debt instruments, and other financial modeling needs, under ASC 805 and ASU 2016-01. Alex’s primary focus resides within the banking/financial services industry.

Alex holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.

Simon Fisher, Strategic Product Manager, CSI
Simon joined CSI in August of 2020 to help CSI expand its digital lending strategy. Prior to joining CSI, Simon worked as a consultant helping banks around the US conduct core evaluations. Simon has a fundamental understanding of industry trends by evaluating multiple platforms. During his career, Simon has worked many different lending roles for a community bank during his 10-year term, including retail, commercial, and mortgage loans. Simon understands the complexity of different loan types and is working to deliver the best digital
experience for loan officers as well as borrowers.”

Donald (Don) Geiter, J.D., M.S.L., Esquire, Barley Snyder LLP
Donald R. Geiter, J.D., M.S.L. (Cybersecurity Law & Policy), is a partner in the law firm Barley Snyder, which has over 120 attorneys. Don is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (U.S.) (CIPP/US), is the firm’s Chief Privacy Officer and leads the firm’s cybersecurity service group. He also is the chair of the firm's Finance & Creditors' Rights group, and is a member of the firm’s management and technology committees.

Don first became involved in cybersecurity initiatives while he was a law clerk with the Office of Naval Research, U. S. Department of the Navy, in the late 1990s. Soon after, at a Massachusetts-based law firm, he advised clients on emerging technology issues. Don joined Barley Snyder in 2006, where he continues to advise business clients on a broad range of cyber and tech-related matters, including employee and board training, data breaches, cybersecurity compliance and counseling, transactional support and contract review.

Don earned a master’s degree in cybersecurity law and policy at the University of Maryland’s Francis Carey School of Law. Don is an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and is a member of InfraGard (a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector for the protection of U.S. Critical Infrastructure). Don is a frequent speaker on the topic of cybersecurity, with recent presentations given to the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Corporate Counsel, PA Manufacturers’ Association, and the World Trade Center-Harrisburg.

David L. Kemp, President, Bankers Management, Inc.
David L. Kemp is President of Bankers Management, Inc. (BMI), formerly The Management Group. BMI is a nationally recognized company in financial services training and bank consulting. Prior to forming BMI, he served as Vice President, Director of Credit Services for Cannon Lending Schools, as well as through Banking Association sessions for individual financial institution.

Mr. Kemp has more than 40 years of management experience in consulting, training credit administration and new business development. Before joining Cannon, Mr. Kemp was Vice President Corporate Finance with Citicorp North America. He was responsible for Marketing Investment and Commercial Banking Services throughout the southeast. His areas of expertise include commercial lending, consumer lending, portfolio management, real estate lending, workouts, and director responsibilities. While with Citicorp, Mr. Kemp was assigned to serve as Senior Credit Officer, specializing in financing retail companies. He managed a workout process that saved more than twenty million dollars in planned charge-offs.

Prior to joining Citicorp, Mr. Kemp was a Branch Manager and Commercial Lender for First National Bank of Atlanta and Citizens and Southern National Bank. In additional to his banking background, he served as a consultant to small businesses in the area of finance, operations, marketing and sales.

Mr. Kemp serves as a visiting professor and guest lecturer to many colleges and universities. He is past chairman of the Downtown Development Authority (City of Atlanta’s Board that owns the Underground Atlanta Project.) He is also past president of the Atlanta Urban Bankers Association.

Mr. Kemp received his Bachelor of Science, Math/Physics from Morris Brown College, Atlanta, Georgia, and graduate studies: Accounting, Corporate Finance; Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia, and Capital Markets, Corporate Finance; Harvard University, Cambridge Massachusetts.
 
Alan Liguori, CFA, Senior Risk Examiner, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
Mr. Liguori joined the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in 1987. He currently serves as a Senior Risk Examiner and Capital Markets Subject Matter Expert in the Philadelphia Field Office, and is a Lead Instructor at the FDIC’s Asset Liability Management School. In additional to serving as the Examiner-in-Charge on many community bank examinations during his 30-year career, he has also led capital markets examinations at large banks throughout the country, drafted examination guidance while serving in the FDIC’s Washington, DC headquarters, served as editor for the FDIC Capital Markets Handbook, and reviewed numerous new bank applications.

He holds a B.S. in Finance from Penn State University and an MBA in Finance from Drexel University. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, Charlottesville, VA. He is a 30-year resident of King of Prussia, PA, where he lives with his wife Michele.

Robert Lopez, Director, Bureau of Bank Supervision, PA Department of Banking & Securities
Robert Lopez serves as Director for the Bureau of Bank Supervision, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Banking and Securities. As Bureau Director, Robert oversees the Department’s supervision of Pennsylvania state-chartered banks which includes: examinations, offsite monitoring, enforcement, and applications. Before becoming a Bureau Director in 2011, he was a Deputy Chief Counsel in the Department’s Office of Chief Counsel where he worked on policy, regulation and enforcement matters for the depository and non-depository program areas.

Prior to joining the Department, he was a judicial clerk at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas for the Commerce Court Program and worked in private practice in the areas of corporate bankruptcy and civil litigation. Robert received his B.A. from Villanova University and his J.D. from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Margo Madden, Vice President - Energy Solutions, APPI Energy
Margo Madden is the Vice President of Energy Solutions, a division of APPI that focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability products and services. Margo joined APPI Energy in November 2018 with a strong background in project management, operational expansion, and business development. She is responsible for the leadership and development of short and long-term strategy, as well as subsequent planning and execution of division initiatives.

Madden oversees relationships with APPI Energy’s strategic vendor alliances and affiliated pipelines, and she is responsible for Solutions division budgeting, profitability, and revenue streams.

Madden received her Bachelor of the Arts in Archaeology from the George Washington University in Washington, DC where she continued on to receive her Master’s degree in Strategic Political Communication and Political Management. She was proud to be recognized as the youngest in the 40 Under 40 Award class at age 29, from the Providence Business News of Providence, RI. Additionally, Madden graduated from the Harvard Negotiation Institute in 2013.

She is a Delaware native and resides in Wilmington, DE. She enjoys trying new cooking recipes, political podcasts, and spending time with family at their home on the Elk River near the Chesapeake Bay.

Stephen Puvogel, Commercial Credit Lead Expert, Office of the Controller of the Currency
Stephen Puvogel is the Commercial Credit Lead Expert for the East and Northeast Regions. After a stint in the industry, Stephen began his career with the OCC in 2012 as a field examiner in the Roanoke, VA field office. In 2018 he transferred to the Lead Expert Group as a commercial credit specialist. During his career he has led asset quality examinations at a variety of community and midsize banks. In his role as Commercial Credit Lead Expert, Stephen actively monitors credit risk in the regions, and provides guidance to field offices on complex or emerging issues. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

Michael Ryan, President & CEO, Innovative Financing Solutions
As the son of an accountant, Michael Ryan learned the importance of detail and precision when dealing with numbers. Gregg J. Wagner, Managing Director, The Kafafian Group
Gregg Wagner is a Managing Director at The Kafafian Group where his primary focus is leading Performance Measurement services.

Gregg is also engaged in helping financial institutions through Strategic Planning and Profit & Process Improvement engagements.

Prior to joining The Kafafian Group in 2013, Gregg served as CEO of three community banks, including being hired to lead two troubled institutions through critical regulatory and performance issues. From 1994 through 2006, he was an executive officer of Harleysville National Corporation and served as President and Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2006. His substantial CFO and COO experience also provided him with the opportunity to garner experience throughout the operational and financial functions of a community bank.

Gregg’s 35-year tenure in community banking has provided him with many valuable lessons and experiences that he continues to add to through his daily interaction with bankers and speaking engagements at industry conferences.

William (Bill) Wisser, Vice President, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia
Mr. Wisser is a vice president in the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia (Reserve Bank). In this role, Mr. Wisser and his staff are responsible for regulatory applications, enforcement, supervision - safety and soundness, and risk.

Mr. Wisser has previously served as an instructor for the examiner commissioning program, where he taught assistant examiners about risk-focused examination techniques and adapting to changes in the banking industry.

Mr. Wisser is also a member of the Community Banking Organization Management Group (CBO MG), a group consisting of officers from across the Federal Reserve System that addresses risks facing the community banking industry. In addition, he serves as a member of the Large Foreign Banking Organization Management Group (LFBO MG), which focuses on the supervision of banking organizations larger than $50 billion.

Prior to joining the Reserve Bank in 1998, Mr. Wisser worked as a safety and soundness examiner with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Banking for six years.

Mr. Wisser earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bloomsburg University.
